Folkboat Sister

The boat is design by Danish Knud Olsen as a result of the classical Swedish Folkboat competition. This design came in second place.

This specific boat is built in Stockholm, Sweden 1953. Hull in Swedish pine, frames in Swedish Oak. Cockpit in mahogany and oak. She has now been in the same family for over 30 years. She has been fully restored and upgraded over the years. Completely new cockpit, interial and cabin roof. The whole boat has been refurbished, such as under water body, hull, deck and rigging.

Since the boat has been used over the years sails and engine also been changed. Main from early 2000, jib from 2015 and gennaker from 2019. Main and jib are red, gennaker white. The engine is a four stroke 4 horse power Yamaha, well maintained with new impeller.
Below deck there’s berths for two adults, a spirit Stove and navigation station. The boat is equipped with coastal life raft for 4 people, VHF, 50W solar panel, docking equipment automatic bilge pump.
